FREEDOM FROM OVEREATING: DAY 38

Hi beautiful women

Imagine being handed a new born baby. I’m not a mom yet; although I can imagine the joy of becoming a mother; having that first look at the wonder of new life; hearing the wail of your baby taking her/his first breath. A new life is to be celebrated as it is a gift.

Now, imagine looking at that same child taking his/her first step; seeing them walk into the school gates at their first day of school; holding that child when they cry over their first ever heartbreak; sneaking in a photo of their prom evening. This all describes the joy of life. This is how life is celebrated.

Now, hear this single endearing thought God has about you: “I celebrate your life”.

Everyday is a new celebration.

Hear this single endearing thought God has about you: “I celebrate your life” How amazing is that?

My 40 day overeating journey was equal to taking my first step. God clapped hands, celebrated, yelled with joy and lavished me with His love when I took this first step.

The rest of my journey still lies ahead. Everyday is a new day. Everyday is a new celebration. I have acquired one single skill, now I have to hold His hand while I take another step and learn to walk 5 steps.

I will surely fall along the way, scraping my knees and hands, sometimes landing on my bum and crying

I will surely fall along the way, scraping my knees and hands, sometimes landing on my bum and crying. However, the good news is that God will never leave my side. He’ll always be there when I try to get up again.

This isn’t just true for me. We all have areas in our lives where we’ve fallen after the millionth step. We struggle to find the energy and strength to get up again and start walking. Today, I want to encourage you to ask God for the strength you need. He’ll give strength and energy in abundance (Isaiah 41:10). Remember that even if you only manage to stand up today, God is still celebrating you.

Lots of love

Inge xx
