RESURRECTED WITH JESUS: ALETIA'S TESTIMONY OF FINDING BELONGING IN GOD.

Hey Beautiful women.

I hope that your Easter weekend has been good and filled with a sense of the LOVE that Jesus showed us on the Cross.

Today I have a special testimonial post from one of my bestest of friends, Aletia. I met Aletia 2 years ago at church and then only discovered that we study together. She is a vibrant, beautiful woman whom I adore as my friends. What I love about Aletia is that she is always joyful and up for doing anything fun.

Aletia’s testimony is all about finding a sense of belonging in God when she could not seem to find her place anywhere and I love how this just shows a part of God’s resurrection heart, resurrecting parts of our brokenness, when it all seems dead:

So, Aletia struggled with finding where she belonged since last year, as I mentioned, and has for a long time felt that she couldn't find her place in social circles. Aletia loves to share her heart and being close in community with people but this feeling has held her back from living out her calling. This lie has made her feel dry and left alone in a wilderness where no one but she and sometimes God, has been.

Aletia soon realized that this was an attack on her identity and nothing of this was from Jesus. Her first step to victory came when she decided to break away from social media for a while. This gave her abundant freedom on a next level in which she did not have to compare herself with anyone anymore. She no longer had to prove herself to anyone or share anything in order to express her uniqueness

After this, God opened Aletia’s eyes to her own strong will. This revelation did not only come through God speaking directly to her heart, but through a friend that had a revelatory dream about her. She knew that something had to be done. Her response to this revelation, was asking God to help her lay down her will, so that He can reign alone not only in her heart but also in her life. At first, Aletia was on rocky ground, not knowing how to lay down her will to God, but in her journey with God, He was faithful to press a specific bible verse onto her heart: ‘Be still and know that I am God’ (Psalm 46:10). Although this is such a popular verse, Jesus revealed this verse to Aletia in a new light, showing her that she has to be quiet, having to do nothing to fight for herself. Furthermore, she started knowing God as the King of her Heart.

Victory was here! Everything started making sense to Aletia and she no longer felt ‘left out’. All she had to do was surrender to King Jesus and He did the rest. Wherever she goes now, she knows that she belongs with God and never again will she not belong.

Wherever she goes now, she knows that she belongs with God and never again will she not belong.

Struggling through this season, God walked with Aletia and revealed to her a couple of truths, especially that she was never created to feel as if she fits in because of people giving her a sense of belonging, but rather she has been created by God to know that she belongs with Him as His child. Just who she is, is enough for our Father. She had to seek out her uniqueness in how God created her, and share it with people around her. She experienced a sense of fulfilment that only God could give. Jehovah Shalom, the Lord, my Peace and Wholeness is now a personal truth to her.

She experienced a sense of fulfilment that only God could give.

Laying down her life resulted in growth and bearing fruit, of which is that she asked God to use her. Our Faithful Father responded and He started talking to her in revelatory dreams.

Hearing this amazing testimony, made me realize a couple of things of God’s Character:

1. Resurrecter is who He is. He resurrects the dead parts, dreams, promises in our hearts, to bring to life who He created us to be, in order for His Glory to come Forth.

2. God is a God of new Life. He calls us out of the grave, to bring us into His light (Ephesians 5:14).

3. God is a personal God. He knows our hearts. Yes, it is something we hear many times, but it is the truth. He works in ways with us, in which He knows our hearts will be touched and changed.

Today I want to ask you girls to sit for only a couple of minutes and ask God where you need resurrection. Ask Him, which promises He gave you, talents He provided you with, dreams of your heart and Godly characteristics, has died off in your heart. Ask Him to resurrect it, like He has resurrected His Son. Ask Him to use it for His glory, to enrich the lives of others, preach the Gospel through your testimony. Ask Him to heal your brokenness.

We are all works in progress and the truth is that God will not stop working until Jesus comes.

We are all works in progress and the truth is that God will not stop working until Jesus comes.

Let His light shine out of our daily lives in the small things we do.

Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday dearest of Ladies.

Lots of Love

Inge xx
