DANE'S TESTIMONY: HOW GOD HEALED A GIRL OF THYROID CANCER

Firstly, happy Saturday. Secondly, I want to introduce you to one of my good friends, Dané.

This gorgeous girl is responsible for today’s testimony of how God healed her of cancer. I’m so excited to share this amazing story with you girls.

So here goes:

The strong, fierce woman that Dané is today is because of her journey with cancer that started at the age of 11. It all started with strange symptoms like shortness of breath, weight gain, etc. Her parents decided to take her to a doctor just to make sure that she was fine; but that day, they found out that Dané was not fine. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The doctor examined that small girl and with a shock, realized that he has never seen a single child with such a big lump on her thyroid. This lump was as big as a tennis ball. This lump compared with the size of lumps that children in Hiroshima had because of the radiation. This cancer wasn’t normal.

The next obvious step was to have an operation in which half of Dané’s thyroid was removed. The operation, although successful wasn’t enough and the doctor needed to remove the other half also as the lump was malignant; furthermore Dané received radiation. This radiation scarred this little girl, literally. Her neck was scarred to such an extent that it looked like iron burned her skin. Her salivary glands were destroyed. This was a lasting effect. This would become her battle scars. Despite these battle scars, this radiation didn’t touch her vocal cords. She still has a voice to tell her story.

While being in the hospital one day, Dané’s mother asked her if she believed that God would heal her. That little girl’s reply was that God has already healed her, her mother just have to ‘keep up with the program; she shouldn’t keep her back’.

Fast forward 12 year and that little girl that had cancer, is healed by the grace of God. Dané is a stronger person because God carried her and her family through this illness.

How amazing is our God? This story has personally impacted me in my faith. A week ago, I battled with faith in God as Healer. My first blog post was about how God worked in my heart, creating faith in Him as Healer. Even though He worked in my heart, by the end of that post, I still didn’t know what God as Healer was all about. I randomly asked Dané to share ANY testimony with me for my blog and here I am today, wrecked by how God works.

Finally I know what God as Healer is all about. It’s about a Father with so much compassion. He’s a God that aches for our pain so much that He would do anything for us to be healed, even send His only Son to die for us. God as Healer can restore anything and anyone who, broken by illness physically and emotionally.

Today I want to encourage you Ladies to sit for a minute with God and thank Him for the physical and emotional healing in your life. If you struggle to find healing to thank Him for, ask Him to show you where He has healed.
