Hey Ladies,
Now that the Heavenly Father has shown us more of His loving heart, I want to explain the importance of why we share our personal life-changing experiences (which I refer to as testimonies in my blog posts) with one another.
…I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me… (Galatians 2:20)
How incredible that Christ decided to lay down His life for us so that we can have eternal life with Him.
By sharing our experiences with others, it constantly and simultaneously reflects God’s magnificent glory as well as His mercy and grace towards us. So, by sharing our testimonies, we show that God’s gentle hand took us out of the darkness, bringing us closer and closer to His shining light. There is not a single testimony that can pass two people’s lips.
Some may have had a radical or extreme encounter with God, whilst others could have had a very gentle and tender encounter. This just shows how personal and loving our Heavenly Father approaches us.
Knowing this makes it easy to understand why people will flip their whole life around just to follow Him. It awakens another part of our inner being that has a desire to be with God every second of every day. This is usually a very deep and intimate moment that we share with our Heavenly Father. Thus, by asking someone to share their testimony, takes plenty of courage, yet, it is quite rewarding to see how it fosters connection with others.
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."(1 Peter 3:15-16)
Our Father isn’t afraid to give in abundance and so we shouldn’t be shy to radiate hope, love and faith to others.
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. (Colossians 4:5)
May we always be open to others and not be afraid to share our testimonies in a loving and graceful way, may we be honest and not afraid to make mistakes and admit that our past is full of flaws. This can always open a door so that other people can relate more to us.
To follow Jesus doesn’t mean that we are perfect human beings, it means that we are striving for change in our hearts.
Therefore, let's pray together: "Jesus, thank you that you are constantly working in my life. Thank you for making the fruits of the spirit available for us to feast on (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control… Galatians 5:22-23). May we never stop seeking you in any way. In Jesus' name. Amen. "
I hope that today’s blog post encouraged you enough to share a part of your life-changing story.
Lots of love
Tehillah
xx
