TRUST SERIES: FULFILLING PURPOSE - CHANTE'S TESTIMONY

Hi lovely ladies

To everything, there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven (Eccl. 3:1).

Today is the last blogpost of the Trust series. A season has ended and a new season will begin.

Our last blog post is a post about Chanté's testimony.

Chanté is a radiant woman of God who is quiet but beams with the strength of God invested within her. I haven't met a woman more dedicated to the Word of God by living it out every day of her life.

This dream was soon questioned.

Chanté's testimony started with a drive for ambition. She always knew what she wanted to do with her life: Biokinetics. She studied hard from the very first day she set foot on university grounds all for the goal of getting accepted to do her Honours degree to become a biokineticist. This dream was soon questioned. Chanté started receiving prophetic words from people in her inner circle, clearly telling her that her calling wasn't to become a biokineticist but rather to be a teacher.

Her heart took offense with every prophetic word that she received. She knew what she wanted to do. Her heart wasn't set on becoming a teacher; never was and never would be.

The time came closer for her to apply for her Honours degree in Biokinetics and soon she had to make a decision. Her only resort was to ask God what He wanted for her. She asked God to give her or someone close to her a prophetic dream concerning her future.

Her whole being knew that she was doing what she was called for.

Months went by and nothing happened. There was no prophetic dream from anyone close to her and she didn't have any dreams either. She forgot to ask God. Until...

Time was getting closer to having to make a decision. Soon, she would have to choose. One day a very close friend of her knocked on her door, asking if she could share something with her. This friend started telling Chanté about a dream she had the previous night. In this dream Chanté was teaching and her friend was sitting in the class, supporting her. This dream seemed quite strange to her friend as she supported Chanté 100% in applying for her Honours degree. Chanté's heart was touched. God had listened to her prayers and requests. Her human instinct was to ask for only one more sign from God. And God provided...

The following day her friend knocked on her door again because she had another dream of Chanté as a teacher. This wasn't and couldn't possibly be a coincidence. This was a sign from God. Chanté knew what God's plans were. It wasn't necessarily the plans she had for herself. Nevertheless, God's plans is what she would devote herself and her life to.

Had she never trusted God in the process of stepping into the calling He had for her, she never would've gained so much favor and peace.

This was only the beginning of the journey as Chanté had to let her parents know that no longer would she do what she always wanted to. God gave her supernatural favour. He softened their hearts to the plans He had set out for His daughter. With grace, Chanté ended up doing a diploma in teaching; however it wasn't easy. Her first practical ever was with a few third year teaching students. They knew all that she still had to learn. They had all the skills that she still needed to acquire.

Then came the first lesson she had to present to a class. It was a nerve-wracking moment; however, when she stood in front of the class she experienced inner peace like she has never felt before. Her whole being knew that she was doing what she was called for.

Had she never trusted in God's faithful nature, she would never have walked in the good plans He had set out for her. Had she never trusted God in the process of stepping into the calling He had, she never would've gained so much favor and peace.

We all have a calling. It looks different for all of us. We've been created diversely with different life stories. No one's journey will ever look the same, for God knows our hearts' desires (Psalm 20:4). The only way to know what God is planning for us, is to know what His will is for us.

The only way to step into those plans is to trust God's provision and faithfulness.

As we also take this last step in the Trust series, Thalita and I also had to trust in the plans of the Lord for this blog. The week to come will mark a big milestone in our journey.

Keep your eye on our social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) to share in the exciting new journey.

Lots of love

Inge xx
